There are times when we're stressed out and we don't know what to do. We might be overwhelmed by work, family or friends. Maybe we're just in a bad mood for no reason at all. No matter what your stressor is, there are ways to relieve it so you can get back on track. Here are my favorite stress relief strategies:

Listen to music that makes you happy. When we're stressed out, it's easy to forget about the things that make us happy. This is especially true if those things are not a part of our daily routine or something that we have time for during our busy days. But listening to music can help relieve stress because it takes our minds off of whatever may be causing us anxiety and allows us to focus on something else instead--like an upbeat song or calming melody that puts us in a better mood!

Spend time with your significant other, family or friends. Talking to people you care about can help you feel better. You might enjoy talking about your stressors and how they make you feel, or simply tell them how much they mean to you. Spending time doing something fun together is also a great way to relax!

Exercise regularly. Exercise is a great way to relieve stress. It releases endorphins, which make you feel good and help reduce pain. Exercise also helps you sleep better, because it reduces the amount of time it takes for you to fall asleep by up to 90 minutes per night! You can get even more benefit from exercise if you do some light stretching after your workout. This will help relax tense muscles and decrease any soreness that may have been caused by working out.

If massages are something that sound appealing, try getting one after each time your work out. Massage with a roller or a deep muscle massager will help relax tense muscles and decrease any soreness that may have been caused by working out (or just life in general).

Take a hot bath or shower. If you're looking for a way to calm down and relax, taking a hot bath or shower is an excellent choice. The heat and steam can help ease tension in the muscles and joints, while also promoting deep breathing (which is calming).

For added relaxation benefits, add some Epsom salts or lavender oil to your bath water--these ingredients will help soothe sore muscles while they work their magic on your mind. If you don't have either of these things on hand but still want to make your bath more relaxing, try adding some baking soda instead!

Any of these stress relief tips can help you to relax. The most important thing is to find something that works for you, and then stick with it!
